Taylor, William Franklin "Bill", age 88 , of Bellbrook , passed away Wednesday, March 22nd, 2017 at his home.
He was born April 26th, 1928 to Raymond Taylor and Ruth (Mossbarger) Taylor. Bill served his country with honor in the U.S. Navy. He was formerly employed as a truck driver for Super Valu Distribution Center in Xenia.
He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter Cathy Michelson and brother Ivan Taylor. Bill is survived by his wife Doris Jean (Comford), son William D. Taylor (Rose), daughters Denise Young (Ricky), Dawn Shover (Carl) and Tonya Disbrow; twelve grandchildren, Leizell, David, Michael, Nicole, Clint, Aaron, Zachary, Lindsay, Brett, Brittany, Trevor and Mitchell; nine great-grandchildren; five sisters Mona Francis, Roberta Hakes (David), Chloe Blazer, Wanda Fox and Charlene Weller (Larry); and several nieces and nephews.
Bill loved to golf. He especially enjoyed golfing with his son, William, in Asia every year for the past 25+ years. He also loved growing a garden and could be seen giving his vegetables to friends and neighbors.The family will receive friends on Sunday, March 26th from 4-6 pm at Conner & Koch Life Celebration Home, 92 W. Franklin St., Bellbrook where you are invited to attempt a putt in memory of Bill. Masonic Lodge #147 and Scottish Rite Valley of Dayton will be performing services Sunday at 6pm. Life celebration service will be held on Monday at 11:00 am at Conner & Koch with burial to follow at Valley View Memorial Gardens in Xenia. Military honors will be performed by the Naval Honor Guard at the cemetery.
