Jackson, Ruby Irene (Brewer), age 97, of Bellbrook, passed away Wed. Dec. 28, 2016. She was born on Mar. 26, 1919 in Wolf County, Kentucky to Dora (Creech) and Richard Brewer. She formerly worked as a waitress for various restaurants throughout many years. She loved to sew, knit and crochet. Ruby enjoyed crossword puzzles, cooking and dancing. She will be remembered as well for being blunt and ornery. She was preceded in death by her mother, husband Frank, daughter Wilma, nephew Steve, and two brothers, Elmer and Vernon. Ruby is survived by her daughter Naomi Carolus (Russ), son Jim Gay (Judy), son Bill Gay (Kay), daughter Bonnie Honeycutt (Jim), son Larry Gay (Carmon), step-son Jay Jackson (Chris), nephews Elmer and Vernon Brewer, numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren and great-great-great grandchildren, and her beloved cat, Tiger. A life celebration visitation will be held from 5-7 pm Tuesday January 3rd at CONNER & KOCH Life Celebration Home, 92 W. Franklin St., Bellbrook. Life celebration services will follow on Wednesday at 11:00 am with Elmer Brewer officiating. Burial will be in Miami Valley Memory Gardens, Centerville.
