Brawner, Donald, age 85, of Bellbrook, passed away Monday, February 5th, 2018.
Don was born November 16th, 1932 to Rosa (Downey) and Dennis Brawner. He was formerly employed as a machine repairman for Frigidaire Division of General Motors.
He was preceded in death by his his parents, wife, Marcella, nine siblings, and grandson, Ryan Rivers.
Don is survived by his two daughters, Marcia Brawner and Joyce Rivers, both of Kettering; grandson Mikel Drake; four great-grandchildren, Naomi Rivers, Nicholas Crutchfield, Maddox Rivers & Brennen Rivers; and brother-in-law, Elmer Moore of West Carrollton, and Brennen's mom, Kylie Fields.
When Don was younger, he enjoyed playing softball in the NCR League's, and coaching the Little League Traveling Team for the Bellbrook Lions Club. He loved to play golf, hunt, and fish, and enjoyed traveling out west and to West Virginia to find the best greens, woods, and fishing holes. Among some of his traveling accomplishments, he also traveled to all 50 states, Fiji Islands, Australia, Newfoundland, and Canada. Don was a lifelong member of the Bellbrook Lions Club, and a former Citizen of the Year.
To help the family celebrate his life, you are invited to share some beef jerky and peanuts at Don's visitation on Sunday February 11th from 5-8 pm at Conner & Koch Life Celebration Home, 92 W. Franklin St., Bellbrook. Funeral services will be held 10:30 am Monday, February 12th, 2018 at Bellbrook Presbyterian Church 72 W. Franklin, Bellbrook. Pastor Diane Zeigler will be officiating.
