Gillespie, Barbara Ellen, age 86, formerly of Cleveland, passed away Wednesday, January 31st, 2018.
She was born August 28th, 1931 to Crystal (Fortman) and Carl Anderson. She was retired from Cuyahoga County Library (Brecksville) where she was the Young Adult Librarian for over 20 years.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and sister Ann Louise Boyer.
Barbara was an avid reader. She loved to travel, play Bridge, and learn about her family's geneology.
Barbara is survived by her husband of 65 years, Terrence; one daughter Ellyn Carfrey of Bellbrook and one son Bob Gillespie (Sue) of Brecksville, Ohio; 5 grandchildren, Michael (Raquel), Megan, Allison (Shannon), Steven (Amanda) and Danny, as well as 5 great-grandchildren..
You are invited to Barbara's life celebration on Saturday, April 21, 2018, 12:00 pm at West Park Station, 17015 Lorain Ave., Cleveland. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Brecksville Library, 9089 Brecksville Rd., Brecksville, Ohio 44141.
