Helen Irene Bailey, age 80, of Centerville, passed away Sunday, December 10th, 2017 at Pristine of Washington Township.
She was born October 15th, 1937 to Myrtle (Miller) and Joseph Holliday. Helen graduated with honors in nursing from Kettering College of Medical Arts. She was employed as a Registered Nurse for the VA Hospital in Huntington, W. Virginia. Helen enjoyed a variety of crafts. Her hobbies included needle work, crocheting, oil painting, china painting, flower arranging, and candy making. She was quite talented and excelled in all her endeavors. Helen was an avid reader and enjoyed watching old movies. She also loved to travel and shop.
She was preceded in death by her parents. Helen is survived by her daughters Rhoda "Dee Dee" (Steve) Case of Wirtz, VA and Jo Beth (Scott) Bryant of Sugarcreek Twp; grandchildren Sarah (Harlan) Vanderpool of Clemmons, NC, Heather (Jordan) Lambert of Sugarcreek Twp and Kate Bryant of Nashville, TN; great-grandchildren Hadley, Harlan, and Olivia.
To help the family celebrate her life, you are invited to the visitation on Sunday December 17, 2017 at 3:00 pm and the Memorial Service to follow at 4:00 pm which will be held at Conner & Koch Life Celebration Home 92 West Franklin Street Bellbrook, OH 45305.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association 31 West Whipp Road Dayton, Ohio 45459 or to the local food bank in Helen’s honor. You are welcome to send a condolence or light a candle and share a story or picture about Helen at www.ConnerAndKoch.com by selecting her name.
