Obituary for Norman Howard "Howie" Micklem

A loving dad, and a loyal and helpful friend, Norman Howard "Howie" Micklem, age 53, of Bellbrook, passed away suddenly, Monday, May 22nd, 2017 at home.

He was born on June 26, 1963 in Atlantic City, New Jersey. He spent his formative years in Rochester, New York where he leaves many close friends. Howie worked as a technician in the HVAC business and was owner of his own business since January 2017.

Howie loved people, especially his kids. He loved parties, hanging out with his friends, and was a renowned talker. From boyhood, Howie was in motion - playing ice hockey, riding bikes, four wheeling, and snowboarding. Howie loved food and never missed a chance to get ZombieDogz. He was very handy and could fix almost anything. His friends often called on him for help and he was always willing to help a friend in need. Howie loved music, particularly Jimmy Buffett and rock and roll of the 70’s and 80’s.

Howie is survived by his parents, Carolyn Micklem and Roland Micklem; former wife Mekia Micklem; son Parker; daughter Olivia; and two sisters Susan Micklem (James Gallaher) and their daughter Cody; and Sarah Micklem (Cornelius Eady).

Life celebration services will be scheduled in the summer. You are welcome to send a condolence, light a candle, and share a picture or story about Howie at www.ConnerAndKoch.com by clicking on his name.
