Von Handorf, James Harry "Jim", age 70, of Bellbrook, passed away Monday, May 22nd, 2017 at Hospice of Dayton.
He was born March 6th, 1947 to Harry and Vera (Bresser) Von Handorf in Covington, KY. Jim was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Church for more than 40 years.
Jim retired from Defense Supply Center, Columbus where he previously worked as the Material Management Division Chief.
Jim enjoyed fishing, canoeing, camping, and watching his grandchildren play sports.
Jim is survived by wife, Ann (Helmers) Von Handorf; four sons, Jeff (Joy), Dan (Mackenzie), Kevin (Raquel), and Chris (Amanda); grandchildren, Kate, Wade, Clara, Elena, Georgia, Justin, Kenley, Theodore, Ty, Harriet, Ellis, and Leighton; two brothers, David (Sandy) and Thomas (Mary); and one sister, Margaret Cross (Patrick Sr.).
The family will receive friends on Thursday May 25 from 9:30 - 11:30 am at St. Francis of Assisi Church, 6245 Wilmington Pike, Centerville. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:30 am with Father Jay Von Handorf officiating. The interment will be in Bellbrook Cemetery.
