Teeters, Kay, age 72, of Spring Valley, passed away April 11 after a long and courageous battle with cancer. She was married to her high school sweetheart, Tom Teeters, for 52 years. Tom preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her parents, Ralph and Ruth Penn, and her brother, Lowell Penn.

Kay held several jobs throughout her lifetime. She worked at Shawnee State College, Citizens National Bank, Home Federal Bank, WPAFB, and as Spring Valley Township Clerk. Her favorite job above all was being a stay-at-home mom while her kids were young. Kay was a member of Spring Valley United Methodist Church.

Kay is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Scott and Nita Teeters; a daughter and son-in-law, Stephany and Dannie Vogelsong; grandchildren Holly and Ryan Teeters, and Jobe Vogelsong; brothers, Bill (Janie) Penn of Lucasville, Dave (Sheryl) Penn of McDermott, and many other family members and dear friends.

The family would like to thank Hospice of Miami Valley and Quaker Heights Nursing Home for their amazing support and care. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Hospice of Miami Valley, 46 N. Detroit St, Ste B, Xenia, OH 45385; Quaker Heights Nursing Home, 514 High St, Waynesville, OH 45068, or Spring Valley United Methodist Church, 1 W. Walnut St, Spring Valley, Ohio 45370.

The family will receive friends Thursday April 13, 2017 from 6:00 pm to 8:00pm at Conner & Koch Life Celebration Home, 92 W. Franklin St, Bellbrook. Life celebration services will continue Friday April 14th at 10:00am with Rev. Darlene Hensley officiating. Interment in Spring Valley Cemetery to follow.
