Obituary for Betty Lou Goldey (Purcell)

Goldey, Betty L, age 85, of Bellbrook, passed away on Wednesday, February 15, 2017 in Dayton. Betty was born in Paris, Kentucky on October 7, 1931 to Murvin Thompson Purcell and Willie Turner (Ward) Cooper. She was employed by General Motors for over 20 years where she worked in Assembly. Betty was preceded in death by her parents Murvin Purcell and Willie Cooper, James Kenneth Goldey, daughter Phyllis Ann Holland, son Kenneth Wayne Goldey, sister Elizabeth Biddle, and brothers Warren Bishop Purcell and Elwood Aldridge. She is survived by her daughters Carol (Dennie) Williams, Cheryl (Rich) Critz, 9 grandchildren Chris (Susan) Brady, Angela (Robert) Abbitt, Mike (Jami) Brady, Amy Smith, Amanda Brockman, Alycia (Ryan) Armbruster, Ashley (Luke) Clemens, Jordan Critz, Alayna (Rocky) LaPrade, and 15 great-grandchildren Zane, Zachary, Zarin, Anna and Connor Brady, Michael and Mackenzie Abbitt, Zachary and Jacob Smith, Isabella and Aleyna Armbruster, Hadley, Knox and Nash Clemens, and Henry LaPrade. A life celebration visitation will be held on Saturday, February 18, 2017 at Conner & Koch Life Celebration Funeral Home, 92 W Franklin Street, Bellbrook, from 11 am - 12 pm. A life celebration service, officiated by Pastor Andy Spencer, will be held following the visitation at 12 pm. Internment will take place at Bellbrook Cemetery.
