Niles, Mark E., 57, of Fairborn, passed away Sunday January 1, 2017. He was born June 8, 1959 in Troy to Connie (Rhoades) and Harry Niles. Mark graduated from Fairborn Baker High School, earned his bachelor's and master's degree from Wright State University. He worked as a special education teacher at Xenia City Schools for more than 25 years and was honored as "Teacher of the Month". Mark creatively used comic books to teach his students. Mark loved to watch movies with family and friends. Some of his favorites were Beauty and the Beast, Wizard of Oz and Casablanca. He loved sports especially wrestling and track. Mark enjoyed reading books by Stephen King. He loved vacations at Daytona Beach, Mexico and Jamaica. He reveled in musical theatre; Les Miserables being his favorite. Mark relished the opportunity to watch the Andy Griffith Show, the Buckeyes, Cavaliers and WWE.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 32 years, Barb. Mark is survived by his two sons, Joshua of Beavercreek, Jared of Columbus, parents, Connie and Harry Niles of Centerville, two sisters Jennifer Hilt (Jim) of Centerville, Kim Buckingham of Oakwood, and nephew Nick Buckingham. You are welcome to experience more of Mark's life at his life celebration visitation on Friday January 6th, 2017 from 5-8 pm at his church, the First Baptist Church of Fairborn, 1167 Highview Dr., Fairborn. Life celebration services continue on Saturday at 11:00 am with Pastor Ron Plemons officiating. Burial to follow in Byron Cemetery.
