Obituary for Donald Carl Meerhoff

Meerhoff, Donald Carl, 82, of Bellbrook, passed away Saturday December 31, 2016 at Hospice of Dayton. He was born on Feb. 2, 1934 in Richmond, Indiana to Kathryn (White) and Herman Henry Meerhoff. Don was an avid golfer and member of the Sugar Valley Country Club. He was also an avid hunter and a member of the Quails Unlimited and lifetime member of the N.R.A. Don was also a 50+ years member of the Masonic Lodge and Scottish Rite Valley of Dayton. He loved traveling domestically and internationally, especially to England, Switzerland and Mexico. Don had his pilot's license and enjoyed flying with the kids and for business. He was co-owner of North Dixie Tool Company, a tool & die manufacturing shop in Dayton. He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter Terri Sue Meerhoff, son Jack Keith Meerhoff, son Lee Bloomfield, and brothers Richard K. and Danny L. Meerhoff. Don is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Mary (Bloomfield) Meerhoff, sons Donald K. Meerhoff (Victoria) of Indianapolis, Indiana, Ronald K. Meerhoff (Michael) of Madison, Wisconsin, sister Patricia Bundenthal (Jerry) of North Carolina, nine grandchildren, Amanda Whitaker (Adam), Shelby Meerhoff, Bayley Meerhoff, Tiffany Meerhoff, Jesse Meerhoff, Jason Johnson (Jolinda), Matthew Patrick, Megan Bussa, and Josh Patrick, ten great-grandchildren, Skyla, Layla, Tera, Titan, Corbin, Dillon, Hanna, Blake, Tristen and Noah, and many nieces and nephews. You are invited to a life celebration visitation on Thursday Jan. 5th from 5-7 pm at CONNER & KOCH Life Celebration Home, 92 W. Franklin St., Bellbrook, followed by services at 10:00 am Friday. Interment in Bellbrook Cemetery. In memory of Don, contributions may be made to Hospice of Dayton, 324 Wilmington Ave., Dayton, Ohio 45420 or Shriner's Childrens Hospital, 3229 Burnet Ave., Cincinnati, Ohio 45229.
