Gabel, Dorothy J. (Steinmetz)
Dorothy was born November 23, 1927 in Tiffin, Ohio to Mercedes (Goetz) and Carl Steinmetz. She passed away Saturday April 21, 2012 at Brighton Gardens in Washington Township at the age of 84. Dorothy was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church. She enjoyed gardening and bird watching. She collected owls and enjoyed Christmas decorating. But most of all, she loved her children and especially her grandchildren, and her home. She was preceded in death by her husband Glenn (1994), her parents, brothers Don, Bill & John Steinmetz and sister Peg Saalmon. Dorothy is survived by two sons Robert of Bellbrook, Mike (Hayley) of Claremore, Oklahoma, two daughters Cathy Adams (Rick) of Bellbrook, Becky Day (Jerry) of Cincinnati, eight grandchildren Holly, Nathan, Daniel, Laura, Emily, Sean, Grace and Scott, one brother Charlie Steinmetz and one sister JoAnn Boiullon. The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm Tuesday April 24 at Conner & Koch Funeral Home, 92 W. Franklin St. (S.R. 725), Bellbrook (45305). Vigil service at 7:30 pm. Mass of Christian Burial Wednesday 10:30 am at St. Francis of Assisi, 6245 Wilmington Pike, Centerville (45459). Burial in Bellbrook Cemetery.
