Waters, Lana M. (Campbell)
A fun-loving, social butterfly, who was always on the phone with family and friends, , an avid reader who loved to travel, passed away Thursday February 23, 2012 at Hospice of Dayton, after a battle with breast cancer. Lana was 68. She was born August 17, 1943 in Dayton to Dorothy (Holmes) Campbell and Paul Campbell. Although she was not born in the south, she was a southern girl at heart. She was a graduate of Stebbins High School. A supportive and emotional rock to her girls, Lana always supported them in dance, horse-back riding, chorus and in anything else they chose to be active. Lana was a hard worker at Merry Maids where she was a team captain. She lived for the moment and enjoyed anything Disney and the beaches at Hilton Head and Charleston, South Carolina. She was formerly a regular attendee of Fairhaven Church. Lana was preceded in death by her father Paul Campbell and her sister Candy Verstrat. She is survived by her daughters Leslie Gregg (Larry) of Centerville, Ashley Duncan (Mark) of Charlotte, North Carolina, 4 grandchildren Kendall, Jackson, Anna and Jack, mother Dorothy Campbell of Kettering and sister Sherry Dever (Don) of Melbourne Beach, Florida. The family will receive friends from 1-2 pm Sunday February 26 at Conner & Koch Funeral Home, 92 W. Franklin St. (S.R. 725), Bellbrook. A celebration of Lana’s life will be held at 2:00 pm with Rev.
